“When I turned forty I wanted to start doing something to keep my skin healthy and youthful, I understood using toxins but was overwhelmed with the choice of treatments and as a doctor and surgeon, very skeptical of the claims and the evidence.
For the last few years I have explored and studied this field and tried treatments myself as well as seeking training in the use of fillers, toxins, polyneucleotides and micro needling. I have completed basic and advanced training in fillers and antiwrinkle injections and have undergone peer mentoring from leading practitioners throughout Scotland.
If you want something subtle and gentle, working with the face and skin you have, to achieve you only better, smoother, younger and fuller then I will be able to help. If you are looking for jaw dropping before and afters, lips that look unrecognisable, then I’m not going to be the right provider for you.

What to expect at a consultation?
Over 30 minutes you will have a full and confidential review of your medical history to identify any issues that might impact your treatment decisions. I will establish your goals for your appearance and discuss any concerns you have and decide together on a bespoke plan that will allow you to achieve those goals. We will take photographs and explore how treatments might help you.
Many people are unsure whether Botox or fillers are required and we can talk confidentially about the advantages and disadvantages of these and answer any questions. Often the answer is more complicated than one or the other. We will guide you through options and have an informed consent conversation about your options.
We want you to feel confident and secure in the decisions you make about your treatments in a healthcare environment with a consultant surgeon.
About me
I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and a consultant general surgeon in full time NHS practice. I qualified in 2001 with distinction and commendation from the University of Dundee with my bachelor of medicine and surgery. I entered surgical training and completed jobs in plastic surgery, ENT, A&E and orthopaedics before settling on a career as a general and colorectal surgeon. I spent time in research and completed my doctorate thesis in 2014. I became a fellow of the RCSEd in 2016, winning the Gold Medal for the FRCS exam and a consultant surgeon in 2018. My aesthetics interest has grown from scepticism and concern over the lack of regulation in the industry as a user firstly and now as someone keen to bring my expertise and knowledge to clients.
